World Map Navigation Games
Here are nine original navigation games:
Three easy navigation games designed for the beginner.
Three games requiring intermediate skills.
And three games for the advanced players.
You don't have to have a GPS receiver, or even leave the comfort of your home to play.
These games are fun to play while you become familiar with simple navigation skills, and you might find yourself actually enjoying a bit of geography without knowing you are doing so.
You will need to use a Winkel Tripel projection of the earth (England-centered),
and a mind for clues and navigation. A compass and a ruler may help. A simple map for your use can be printed from here.
To begin with we will not be offering any prizes. Your reward will be the satisfaction that you worked out the clues and came to the game's conclusion. However, once we get the hang of things here, we may offer something in the future.
Ease into the games with these three simpler challenges:

Now for the pithier stuff.
These games shouldn't be anywhere near impossible, after all I put them together and I am no brainiac. But I did try to design them to take more thought and work.

If these games become popular, we will try to make new ones each month if possible. We may even request players to contribute their carefully designed games for this site.

Elementary & Advanced Orienteering
For young and old.
Many other sites can be found, but most seem to take this "sport" way too seriously.
I was thinking orienteering is supposed to be fun.
Many sites give the appearance that the game should be an Olympics event.
